You will be wearing your Wellness Belt on your hips, just below the waist, at the top of your slacks (ie: on the waistband).

Step-by-Step Measuring Instructions

We want to make sure you get the correct size so you get the maximum comfort and benefit out of your purchase. So before you enter your size and put it in your shopping cart, let's make absolutely sure you choose your proper size.   1. You will need an ordinary belt and a measuring tape. A belt that does not stretch, such as leather is necessary.
  2. First, put on your belt, but not through the belt loops on your clothing. Wrap it around the waistband of your slacks. A belt will normally go to its usual position – sitting in the soft tissue at the very top or uppermost part of your hip bones, which are at the sides of your body. The hip bone we are referring to here is where most people put their hands when they are standing with their hands on their hips, just below the waist.
  3. Undo the buckle and let the belt expand slightly - just enough to allow it to go down to about 1" to 1.5" below the tops of the hips.
  4. Now pull the belt snug and do it up again, making sure that the belt does not pop up to the waist - ie: it stays about 1" to 1.5" below the tops of the hips. If the pin of the buckle does not go into a hole, then, while still holding it snug, make a mark on the belt where it overlaps the tip of the buckle.
  5. If the pin went into a hole, mark or remember which hole it used.
  6. Now take the belt off and lay it on a flat surface.
  7. Take the measuring tape and measure from the hole the buckle went into (or the mark) to the tip of the buckle, including the buckle in the measurement.
  8. If you get an even number, that is your Wellness Belt size. If you get an odd number you should go DOWN to the next even number - unless - you are already very thin and do not have any body fat on your hips - in which case you should go UP to the next even number.

For men the proper size is usually 2" larger than your dress pants size.

For ladies, it could be as much as 8" larger than the waist due to the "Hour Glass figures" of you lovely ladies. The correct size will most likely not be your normal belt size.

THIS CHART IS A VERY ROUGH APPROXIMATION OF LADIES' PANTS SIZES AND THE CORRESPONDING WELLNESS BELT SIZE. IT IS MEANT TO LEAD YOU TO YOUR CORRECT RANGE. DO NOT JUST LOOK AT THE PANTS SIZE AND PICK YOUR SIZE. PLEASE MEASURE. As you know, you can go to different stores and be a different size. This chart is simply to help you see if your measurement is close to correct. If you wear size 16 and measure yourself to be a 34" belt, then please do the measuring again or call us. We want you to get your proper size. So ... here we go...
